Escalator down to the Subway Station
Today was my second appointment for the current root canal treatment. It is my second and I get used to it. I guess, the next one I will do on my own. I had been warned to expect some pain after todays treatment caused by the jawbone which might be affected by the infection, but fortunately no problems so far.
So in the evening on my way home from work I was fine to stop by the Schloßpark in Bochum Weitmar and make some photographs of the Kubus in the dark.
This afternoon I was in Hattingen again and made a stop at the LWL-Industriemuseum Henrichshütte Hattingen.
Another photograph of the Ruhrwehr in Hattingen with a closer perspective.

Furnace in the evening.
The first photograph was made on the so called Dahlhauser Schwimmbrücke (=pontoon bridge). Years ago the bridge was open for cars but at the moment there are only pedestrian and cyclist, that means the bridge does not move and it is safe for taking long exposure images.
The opposite direction with view towards the pontoon bridge.
Just a fews hundred meter from the Matthäus Church in Weitmar is the catholic St. Franziskus with its own cemetery.

Theater of Bochum. No, not for the movies…
At the moment I am quite into long exposure photography. Actually it is fun to use a 16 stop neutral density filter and have exposure times of more then two minutes in bright daylight. It feels like a different type of photography with slightly different rules.
Today I disabled the noise reduction for long exposure on the X-E2. And being honest I cannot see too much of a difference, apart from the much faster processing time, since the additional exposure for noise reduction is skipped.

Snow! Right on the first working day this year. Yesterday evening I asked myself if there might be another winter without snow for this year. Fortunately I was proven wrong this morning;)
Although I had some concerns on the public transport which usually tends to go mad with the first snowflakes, all went smooth and I arrived quite early in the office.
