The absolutely shameless incompetence inherent in the phrase “I asked ChatGPT and…” is staggering. When I ask someone something I usually do that assuming that this person has some knowledge about the topic at hand. When I get a reply like this, all formerly held professional respect I had for this person vanishes in a heartbeat and I now know not to involve them in tasks or decisions anymore.

On the other hand, deliberately saying something obviously and extremely stupid and adding that ChatGPT said it is slowly becoming a running joke.
