On my way home I made a stop at Bochum Weitmar. Usually I will stop there to buy the groceries I need. But today I made some photographs of the Matthäus Kirche.
Theater of Bochum. No, not for the movies…
At the moment I am quite into long exposure photography. Actually it is fun to use a 16 stop neutral density filter and have exposure times of more then two minutes in bright daylight. It feels like a different type of photography with slightly different rules.
Today I disabled the noise reduction for long exposure on the X-E2. And being honest I cannot see too much of a difference, apart from the much faster processing time, since the additional exposure for noise reduction is skipped.
Today I used the recently acquired Formatt Hitech Firecast ND 16 filter for the first time. The filter for the 100mm filter holder is surprisingly thin and I did not need to add any shims to gain more space to fit the filter in the fisst slot.
