The Future Sound Of London – Unrealities

Da ich gestern bei dem Kackwetter nichts Besseres zu tun hatte, war Zeit für neue Musik. Also habe ich ein paar Alben von meiner Bandcamp Wishlist gekauft. Eins der Alben war Unrealities (Bandcamp) von The Future Sound Of London, das in der vergangenen Woche erschienen ist.

Ein reines (brutales) Ambient Album. Nur drei von acht Titeln laufen unter einer halben Stunde. Es dauerte, bis ich es einmal komplett durchgehört hatte. Knapp 3 Stunden. Datt is datt wo deine Mudda sacht, datt is gar keine Musik.

Biosphere – The Way of Time

The Way of Time von Biosphere ist heute veröffentlicht worden – Bandcamp – lnk

The Way Of Time takes loose inspiration from Elizabeth Madox Roberts’ novel The Time Of Man, sampling Joan Lorring’s voice from the 1951 radio play adaptation of the novel. Biosphere’s signature ambient loops, soothing arctic synths and melodies combine with Lorring’s sweet, wistful and deep-south wonderings to create a record that is both deeply human and searching.

Als ich mir vorhin – gemütlich mit Kopfhörern auf den Ohren – das erste Mal das Album gehört habe, war ich wohl etwas zu müde und bin beim zweiten oder dritten Titel direkt eingeschlafen. Es scheint also sehr entspannend zu sein.

Sabled Sun – 2150

Aus den beiden Lautsprechern neben mir berieselt mich 2150, das soeben veröffentlichte Album von Sabled Sun vom Label Cryo Chamber – es ist was man erwartet: SciFi Ambient. Und außerdem finde ich diese Art Musik förderlich für die Konzentration und es ist trotzdem ist das Album interessant genug um nicht nur Hintergrundbeschallung zu sein.

Drei neue Alben

Drei Alben, die ich gerade kennengelernt habe:

Songs Of Silence (Bandcamp, Tidal, Spotify) ist das jüngste Solo Studio Album von Vince Clarke. Ja, der mit Erasure, Depeche Mode und so weiter. Und es ist alles andere als Synthpop.

Systeme von Bersarin Quartett (Bandcamp, Tidal, Spotify) Das fünfte Album von Thomas Bücker. Ebenso empfehlenswert wie die vorangegangenen.

Dark Ambient of 2023 (Bandcamp). Das jährliche Dark Ambient Album vom Label Cryo Chamber mit einer Auswahl von Veröffentlichungen aus dem Jahr 2023.
